Putin meets Erdogan’s request to accelerate the deal of the missiles, “S 400”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have agreed to accelerate the Russian S-400 missile deal to Turkey, and the two presidents have launched a project for a nuclear power plant in Turkey.

The two presidents’ talks in Ankara included major economic issues such as the Russian gas pipeline through Turkey, energy projects and increased cooperation in the economy and military industries.

During a press conference, the Russian president said that many issues were discussed, “foremost of which is the increase in our cooperation in the military industries. At the request of President Erdogan, we discussed accelerating the delivery of the S-400 missile system.”

For his part, the Turkish President said that the deal of the S-400 missile system is for Turkey, “This agreement was concluded after the consensus with Russia, and now the discussion is over,” noting that the process of industrialization continues, and that “accelerate delivery will be reflected in the form of strengthening the bonds of friendship that binds us Prussia”.

On 12 September last, the Turkish President announced the signing of an agreement with Russia to buy the system mentioned, noting that his country paid a first payment to Moscow, and if the completion of the deal, Turkey will be the first country in NATO has this system.

In the Syrian file, the two presidents agreed to continue efforts to find a political solution in Syria and preserve its territorial integrity. The Russian president said that his country’s priority is to achieve the unity of Syrian territory and sovereignty, and to eliminate the terrorist strongholds there. He pointed to the cooperation between Moscow and Ankara in the Syrian file, Will cooperate with them in the future.

Iranian President Hassan Rowhani is scheduled to join his Turkish and Russian counterparts on Wednesday for a summit on Syria. A Turkish government official said the talks on Syria would focus on work to reduce areas of escalation and humanitarian issues.
